Think of Kolding and you think of handball. After all, top club Kolding IF is active in the highest spheres of the Danish handball competition and regularly pockets national titles. Handball is alive in Kolding and the Kolding Handball Cup perfectly fits in with the tradition of this town’s past. Already at the first edition of the Kolding Handball Cup, around 100 teams from eight countries appeared at the start. In the years that followed, the counter soon increased to 150, which was the limit for the organiser as quality comes first. Quality isn’t an issue in Kolding: participant assessments are optimum each year. “We’ll be back next year – but then with the whole club” said one of the participants. This success is partly due to the excellent facilities, partly due to the good organisation and partly due to the programme around the competitions. For that matter, you don’t have to be a professional to take part; everyone is welcome but you do have to register on time!
The Kolding Kempa Cup is organised by Kolding IF, a top European club.
